EYH Winter 2026 Cubs Beginner Hockey 2

WELCOME TO THE EYH WINTER 2026 CUBS BEGINNER HOCKEY 2 REGISTRATION

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your credit/debit card or bank information available.

EYH Cubs Beginner Hockey 2
Ages:  5 - 10 years old (2015 - 2020)
Prerequisite:  N/A (new skaters welcome)

Clinic Information - 7 weekly sessions (on Saturday Mornings)

Days: January 31st - March 28th (NO SESSIONS ON 2/14 OR 3/14))
Time: 9:50am - 10:35am
Location: Everett Community Ice Rink


Hockey 2 is for players who have basic skating skills and are ready for more hockey. Hockey 2 follows the American Development Model guidelines which promote high activity through fun, station based practices and games. The objectives for Hockey 2 still mainly focus on skating skills, but also introduce puck play and safe body contact between players. Below is a detailed list of objectives for Hockey 2: 

A. Players will be able to stride forward using 45 degree V-Push, focus on good recovery and alternating arm drive

B. Players will be able to one-foot push and glide forward (right and left)

C. Players will be able to backward hustle or march, then glide on two feet

D. Players will be able to backward C-Cut, single leg (right and left) and alternating feet (right and left) in a straight line

E. Players will be able to two-foot moving Snowplow stop

F. Players will be able to side-to-side and front-to-back stickhandle

G. Players will be able to forehand, backhand pass, and receive a pass properly with a stick

H. Players will be able to wrist shot

I. Players will be able to accept safe body on body contact and lift an opponent’s stick

USA Hockey Requirement

Each Player must register first with USA Hockey and then return to this Registration Session to signup for the Beginner Session.

  • Step 1:  CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register your player(s). Be sure to PRINT and SAVE their confirmation code(s). Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey. Each player must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number.
  • Step 2:  Return to this registration and proceed. Later in this registration session you will need to enter the USA Hockey Confirmation Code that you received in Step 1.
